Sophie Gawi

Sophie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Arts from Deakin University, graduating in 2018. Sophie is a compassionate and dedicated lawyer who approaches each case with meticulous attention to detail. Her approach to client care focuses on understanding the significant physical, emotional and financial toll that injuries can have on individuals and their families.
Before joining Margalit, Sophie worked at a boutique litigation firm for many years, gaining extensive experience in handling complex legal disputes. This provided her with a strong foundation in litigation strategy and dispute resolution.
Sophie was also as an associate to her Honour Judge English at the County Court of Victoria, which gave her a unique and practical understanding of personal injury litigation. This experience has strengthened her ability to effectively advocate for clients in medical negligence and personal injury matters.
Outside of work, Sophie enjoys walking her dog, exploring Melbourne’s vibrant food scene, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Sophie is a member of the Australian Lawyers Alliance and the Law Institute of Victoria.
